Meet our New Sales Manager

We are excited to introduce Chris Kunze, our new Sales Manager.  Chris recently returned to the area after living and working in St. Louis.

Chris is responsible for making sure our customers get what they need. He is the sales point of contact for our coalition dealers, reps and suppliers.  He is highly involved in our trade show scheduling, inside and outside sales, marketing, business development, and product innovation ideas.

We recently caught up with Chris to check in after his first few weeks on the job.

What is a typical day like for you?  Every day is different. It starts with meeting with the sales team, discussing any issues or large deals we are working on. Talking with customers and prospective customers throughout the day. Talking with our plant managers about current jobs in production and our pipeline.

What has been the highlight of your work so far? The Annual LMC show this March in New Orleans was amazing. I learned a lot about our products, the industry, and met a lot of great people in the industry. It was a huge jump start to my product and industry knowledge.  

What has surprised you most about Leatherneck products? Flat Track seems like a simple product…it’s not. There are so many different options and applications; I learn something new every day.

What do you like best about the Leatherneck team? We have a fantastic and experienced sales team. I rely on them heavily for ideas and product knowledge. Bob, Kim, and Steve are great to work with and keep the office environment fun and exciting.

What are your impressions of Leatherneck’s customers? LN Customers are very creative. One of the best parts of my job is seeing the photos that customers send in of their installed Flat Track. Leatherneck specializes in custom solutions…and our customers rely on that to meet their innovative design needs.

What plans do you have?  We have several training sessions planned over the next few months. It will be great to meet some of our partners in person.
